Elizabeth Cosby, a born again Holy Spirit-filled Christian Artist, is originally from Broken Arrow , Oklahoma. She has been used of the Lord in "Prophetic Based Art" for the past three years. Cosby is a third year student at Pittsburg State University. Using various mediums and being Holy Spirit led, she is steadily growing into the calling of "Art Minister". Elizabeth is lead intercessor and is on The Spirit Life Worship Team at her home church, Christ Community Church, Pittsburg, Kansas. She also works with children in the church setting, using art as one of the avenues for teaching the Christian life style. In the picture above, Elizabeth is touching a painting called "Outpouring". Commenting about the painting Cosby said, "We call out to God to pour down the Rain and we ask him to send the Fire. This is when we are in unity during worship unto Him."

Elizabeth has exhibited her works locally during the
past ten years in the
immediate four state area. She enjoys a variety of mediums like acrylics, clay,
coffee art, drawing and watercolor.
As a single mom from Broken Arrow, OK, in 2005 she completed her
degree from Pittsburg State University and then received her masters from
Missouri State University/Missouri Southern State University.
Cosby teaches 7th and 8th grade art. Along with her love of teaching,
she is envolved in the Pittsburg community by volunteering, donating art
work tovarious organizations, and teaching private lessons.
She believes that "art is an exploration of the soul and that creating
art is a personal experience of that exploration." Cosby is a "Born Again"
Spiritfilled believer.

Elizabeth Cosby first began exploring art as a young girl by drawing and doodling on paper. She was inspired by her father who was an artist with a career in advertising and graphic design.
Elizabeth fell in love with the ability to be creative through painting, clay making and drawing. Elizabeth was often distracted and would rather be creating art then be involved in the traditional discipline of school learning which created a challenge for her in the school setting. Knowing this, she was encouraged by her mother and stepfather to pursue her passion in art by attending several art programs and private art schools throughout her teenage years.
She is inspired by artist’s Robert Rauschenberg, Jackson Pollock, Ed Ruscha and Marjorie Schick. Through the years of her exploration in art; her art has evolved from a traditional style to a more contemporary abstract style; which she feels most comfortable in. Elizabeth stays current on art theory and movements and enjoys both creating art and viewing artworks. Elizabeth is a believer, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher and an artist.

This is my story of the “Lady in waiting” inspired by John 3:29-30 and can be seen in drawing illustrations
The Lord longs for her, He calls out to her and He beckons her to follow Him. To see that He desires her; she responds by His leading, not yet seeing her purpose,
she starts trusting Him. He fills her with His spirit; she begins to submit and a desire begins to burn with in her.
All along He has called out to her, asking for her to come closer; He says “If only she knew the love I have for her; if only she could see how I see her.” Responding to His word, she knows in her heart what He has promised; that He will return!
She waits, the fire inside grows brighter, deeper, more intimate, she finds herself beckoning Him to come closer; she calls to Him saying “come Lord, come.”
She is a “Lady in waiting” and He is the one and only one that will ever satisfy the longing she was created with and for years she has tried to fill. Knowing His Father designed her this way; it is then His pursuit to communicate to her and deliver her from her own deception that had been waiting for her in this world.
He has not left her, He will return, He is the Bridegroom that is coming for His bride. She is the Kings daughter pursuing her Bridegroom loving Him with all of her heart, for it belongs to Him and Him only. The “Lady in waiting”, is the experience of a Bride (the church) waiting for her Bridegroom named Jesus and a “Lady in waiting” is also a reflection of the love from a women waiting for the groom who God has designed for her on earth.
